We’ve answered some of the most common questions from players and parents to help you feel confident and prepared before joining one of our leagues.

Our leagues are open to adults and junior players of all abilities. Whether you’re new to competitive badminton or an experienced player, we’ll place you in an appropriate division to help ensure balanced and enjoyable matches.

No. Many players enter a league for the first time through We Play Badminton. The leagues are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and suitable for players looking to gain match experience.

We provide guidance on player skill levels to help you identify the most suitable division. If you’re unsure, our organisers can help assess your level and place you in the most appropriate division.

Yes. Players can enter multiple categories, subject to availability and scheduling. You can enter as an existing pair or register individually. Where possible, we’ll help match individual players with a suitable partner.

Matches may be played during weekly sessions or arranged independently at a mutually convenient venue and time. League are run quarterly so you have 3 months to complete your matches.

Junior leagues are open to players who are regularly attending coaching sessions, club sessions, or junior badminton programmes.

Junior leagues are designed for players who can serve, rally, and understand the basic rules of badminton. Beginners may be encouraged to gain some coaching experience before entering.

Junior players are grouped according to age, ability, and playing experience to create a positive and competitive environment.

League competition helps juniors develop confidence, improve decision-making, gain match experience, and learn how to apply their skills in a competitive environment.

Yes please make sure you let the Coach/Leader know if you have an injury or medical condition before the session starts. In addition please fill out the Medical Form (google form) which will provide the Coach with more details.
